China tourist visa (L)

For tourism or visiting relatives and friends in China — the most requested visa among travellers from the Kingdom.

Length of stay:: Up to 30 days per entry

Required documents

•Passport valid at least 6 months with two blank pages
•Colour photo 48×33 mm on a white background
•Chinese visa application form (COVA) printed and signed
•Return flight booking and confirmed hotel reservation
•Valid Saudi residency permit for non-Saudis

China business visa (M)

For meetings and trade fairs such as the Canton Fair, factory visits and closing deals.

Length of stay:: 30 – 90 days depending on the invitation letter
Processing time:: 4 – 7 working days

Required documents

•Invitation letter from a Chinese company, stamped and signed
•Employer letter stating your job title and purpose of visit
•Commercial registration of the Saudi company
•Valid passport and a photo meeting the official specifications

China study visa (X1 / X2)

For students admitted to Chinese universities: X1 for studies over 180 days, X2 for short programmes.

Length of stay:: Matches the study programme
Processing time:: 7 – 10 working days

Required documents

•Original admission letter from the Chinese university
•Original JW201 or JW202 form
•Foreigner physical examination report (approved form)
•Proof of funds or scholarship letter

China work visa (Z)

For holders of a Chinese work permit taking up employment in China.

Length of stay:: Converted to a work residence permit after arrival
Processing time:: 10 – 15 working days

Required documents

•Work permit notification issued by the Chinese authorities
•Employment contract signed by both parties
•Degrees and experience certificates attested by the Saudi MOFA
•Police clearance certificate and approved medical report
